TABrec
Record your guitar, get tabs and sheet music. Chords too. Tuner built in.
TABrec turns your guitar playing into tablature and standard notation, with rhythm, just by recording it.
Get it on Google PlayRecord it, get the score
- Play after the count-in. Single-note melodies, chords and arpeggios all become a score
- Tabs get the same note lengths (rhythm) as the staff
- Set tempo, capo and tuning (Standard, Half step down, Whole step down, Drop D, DADGAD)
- Tap a note and a fretboard appears. Pick a different string and fret, and the note changes to match
- Change length, move by a semitone or an octave, delete, undo
- Every score is saved automatically. Reopen it from the list and keep editing
- Shows the note name and how far off you are (cents)
- The card glows lime as you get closer, flashes when you are in tune, and gives a short vibration
Private by design
- Recording and transcription happen entirely on your device. The app has no internet permission and never sends your recordings anywhere
- No account, no ads
- Dark and light themes. 8 languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Chinese (Simplified) and Korean

Automatic transcription is not perfect. Fast passages and dense chords can produce wrong notes. Fix them on the fretboard. For a cleaner recording, play in a quiet room with the phone close to the guitar.
